In July the Duke of York’s 100th team were invited into year 8 class on their Community Enrichment Day to give a presentation about the history of the Duke of York’s Cinema. The pupils also learnt about early cinema techniques with BFI Family Co-ordinator Joana Van Der Meer including; Magic Lanterns, Zoetropes, Graphic Describers and local film pioneers George Albert Smith and James Williamson.
